Whats The Cheapest Glock - The original is still very nice, it comes from a third generation, my wife and I had a great time with it out of the box. Forgiving and a little simpler, it doesn't need much to perform very well. The 2000 shots with a tungsten guide rod feel powerful and with a set of aftermarket sights, perhaps a longer range gun. Easy to learn because it's not too big for anyone but the smaller hidden figures.

I bought a gen 1 17 in the late 80's early 90's. I have put it through countless rounds and it performs like a champ every time. I have some guns. But this is my secret carry and my thing.

Great weapon. I taught my wife to shoot this gun. She fell in love with shooting and the Glock.

Glock 17 Vs. Glock 19… Which Would You Choose?

The Glock 17 Gen 4 is my EDC that I trust with my life against someone who might try to end my life. What a comfort it is to know I have a Glock 17 on my hip.

I work, eat and sleep my Glock 17 Gen 3! Best enemy ever made in my book! Easy to clean, loaded. Buy yours today! Don't forget to buy two more magazines.

This is one of the best 9mm pistols. I know there are many and the Glock 19 is #1 in the US, but the light, slim and stylish Glock 17 Gen 4 full size 9mm feels good on a backstrap, including the beaver tail, because the NATO FMJ is good practice, not rubbish. High pressure for affordable live ammunition. I usually use NATO 239 grain .45 acp Glock 21 models, but this is my second favorite. I haven't tried the Gen 5 yet, and I'm generally more comfortable with the large size Glocks Gen 4. A better trigger kit can help solve any FTE or irregular ejection issues.

Probably the best police gun ever! Look at how many LE agencies around the world trust the Glock 17. You can't get that kind of approval without getting the little things right! The reliability of the G17 is beyond doubt; what's not to like? An ugly weapon? Check. Not the cleanest or easiest trigger break on the market? Check. The original "plastic" gun? Check. Factory front and rear sights that are... ummm?... not the greatest? Check. Go for a shot every time and shoot the ball like a champ? Check that out too. Have you actually survived and thrived through years of torture tests by many different agencies, police departments and the military? This would also be a check. If you've never trusted your life with a Glock 17, you'll never be able to truly appreciate the comfort of having so much experience and law enforcement and civilians at your side. Take one. You will see what I mean.

Glock 43 9mm Luger 3.41in Black Nitrite Pistol

I bought it quite used, not knowing its history. I modified the trigger and striker assemblies to improve the trigger pull and added fiber optic sights. It has been 100% reliable! I have had it for about 7 years. Factory rebuilt steel body and vintage ammo - just eat it up and spit it out! I own a collection of handguns and buy and sell them, but this is the one I keep.

I bought my G17, Gen4 to have a 9mm action on the range. I have previously shot double actions in .40 cal. The ease and feel of the shots is great. It included different sized back straps which is definitely a plus. I installed the Ultimate Pyramid Flat Face Trigger Assembly, Extended Slide Release and optical sights. Right out of the box, though, it shoots very well. All in all, I got about $900 for this gun, which I think is worth the cost for my preferences. It fits well in my hand, accurate, minimal recoil, sharp trigger break and quick reset, good balance and reliable. The recoil from the holster is smooth, but not too great for concealed carry. Great for weapon range and used during push operations. We highly recommend this gun for the new or experienced shooter.

Great gun never tried to jam, shoots 4 clips of 18 rounds as fast as possible, doesn't jam and is very balanced for accuracy

I have owned my Gen4 Glock 17 for several years and consider it to be one of the best 9mm pistols on the market today. I installed the Ultimate Pyramid Trigger Assembly and fiber optic sights. These options only increase the capabilities of this weapon. In addition, the large back strap and beaver tail ensure a good feel and comfort. Due to the angle and size of the design, the good grip from the pull is comfortable and smooth. Needless to say, this is very important for speed, to get the line of sight for a quick shot. As a working firearm, it's easy to get tired of carrying a heavy gun all day. At the range or during tactics, accuracy is excellent. Right or left handed shooting is no problem as it is well balanced. Be it precision or rapid fire, I have yet to experience a malfunction. The bottom line is that I highly recommend this pistol for home, service, or even competition shooting.

What I've Learned After Carrying A Glock 19 For 4,992 Hours

I was once in a situation with my friends in 2015 where we had no oil or cleaning supplies and none were coming soon. It was the British Army and we were thrilled not to have to clean the guns, and running like a two-stroke engine, the gun misfired after a few shots. Turns out I got close and this thing just went on and on and went through a whole contact. To this day, I still dream about that gun they gave me and how it saved my life.

You can't knock it, just don't let carbon get into your parts and kit. The sights were driving me crazy, but when you push the gun, guess what. Works. Thanks for my life Glock :).

I have had the Glock 17, Gen 4 for about 5 years. To this day I use it as an assignment for several reasons; durability, accuracy, dexterity, weight, number of rounds, balance, etc. The only modifications I have made to my pistol are: pyramid trigger, TruGlo optic sights, stainless steel competition recoil spring and grip bar. All these items were purchased through . The "back strap" options provide an excellent fit for the gun in my hand. Having owned several other handguns, the Glock 17, Gen 4 is my “go to” handgun and I always feel safe with it on my side.

I have a 2nd gen G17 Never missed. I changed to newer magazines. The original magazines are starting to crack. I replaced the springs and replaced the connector. I probably put in 3000 rounds and I would bet my life on it. I now have 5 Glocks and have never had a problem with one of them. I spent this week in Detroit, which I try not to do too often, but when I'm there I always hit up the local gun shops. On its particular day, it was a ramshackle shop that would probably look more like home in a third-world country than an inner-city neighborhood. The attendants spoke to me, which is always a great sign. Once I got excited, I started looking for the perfect used gun.

Glock 40 Mos [review]: A 10mm Hand Cannon

They had several choices from vintage revolvers to some Smith 5906's for sale. The deal that caught my eye the most was a Glock 22 shot with old skateboard tape. When I picked it up I noticed it was a Gen 3 Glock 22 with a 9mm conversion barrel replacing the .40 S&W barrel. The Storm Lake replacement barrel looked freshly fired and most of the internals looked new and lightly used.

I started talking to the guy behind the counter about where this Glock 22 had come from. Apparently it was from a metro department in Detroit that was buying new barrels for their older Glock 22s. It was an attempt to save money for weapons in their budget. I was very surprised by this, but after thinking more about Detroit's financial situation, it made sense after talking to the store clerks.

The Glock was equipped with tritium night sights and that was basically it. The gun had no box, magazine or manual of any kind. I basically got a blank Glock 22 and a trigger lock for $145. At this price, it's still a steal, despite not having much attached to it. After waiting for the gun shop to get all the paperwork in order, I finally bought the gun. I couldn't wait to get home and test the gun more. I decided to disassemble the Glock 22 in mine
